Hi

I have used stock updater to flash multilang ROM :
Xiaomi MI3 WCDMAcancroKK - 4.4, Goo, Xiaomi, 2cc2ff7caab6ff551102a316d55fd368
from here http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/4-5-30.24444/

And now wanted to go back to the stable rom v14:
from here http://en.miui.com/download-101.html (wcdma/cdma)

I have copied the zip file to my downloaded_rom folder on Xiaomi MI3 and tried to use it through same stock updater in miui (settings > about phone > system updates) .
When I click update and select "select installation pack" and point it to the downloaded_rom folder with the v14 zip file, and try "update now" > "begin update" , it gives me error message "system update failed - download full ROM package is reccomended".

zip file is not broken, I have tested it, it was copied first to my HDD, tested zip file structure and then copied to my phone folder.

Here is error log:

script aborted: assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "cancro" ||
getprop("ro.build.product") == "cancro"
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "cancro" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "cancro"

Anyone knows how to fix this to be able to use miui updater again ?
(I am trying to avoid cws for now and it is not installed, have stock recovery from xiaomi).

Simple. You can't downgrade from 4.4 to 4.3. You need MiFlash to use 4.3 android MIUI.

Does that mean that I wont be able to update to V6 next month through stock updater after they release it?

What? Who told you there will be v6 next month? Don't worry about updater for now and just use your phone.

I just told you that you can't downgrade. And you're now asking about update. This has no sense.

Sorry Acid I am not very experienced with this device, got it a few days ago so I am asking things that I am unfamiliar with. I didn't know that official rom is a downgrade. I though that their rom is also 4.4.2.
When I bought the phone from germany it had 4.4.2 on it but I wanted to try this multi rom.
I appreciate your response, thank you.

A friend was reading some official miui forum topic and someone said there that v6 will be release by the end of June.

Yes, as Acid said.
I conclude if you want to downgrade use MIflash to flash "image" rom back (not the zip file xxx.zip) .
Good luck.;)

What about Fastboot? http://en.miui.com/thread-22454-1-1.html

Shouldn't this work too? If i had the same necessity i would use this, simple scripts in windows/linux format, it seems easy!

Edit: nevermind, MiFlash seems to be just a GUI to those fastboot scripts, my fault to be still a bit unexperienced :)
