How to connect as USB storage

Hi, I have installed latest 2.12.7 on my M2 and when I connect M2 to my computer, it doesn't mount like on original M2 MIUI ROM. Is there any option that can do the classic USB storage switch for mounting?
Here is what I have on my DHD and that same thing was on unboxed MIUI

this is what I get when the device is connected (but not mounted like before)

You have to install Android File Transfer, if you click on acces files via computer > help, it will ask you to install it. After that you can use it. It's delivered on you M2

In JLB is not like that . i dought that you have seen screen like DHD on Mi2. I havent seen like this when i recieved mine. It was like 2.12.07.

oh yeah.. you right.. I flashed back JBL5.0 and tried it.. it mounts under my Arch Linux automatically as XIAOMI, but when I open that folder, there is only AndroidFileTransfer.. That's not good, I don't like this solution.. why it can't be like on other MIUI roms? Is there any reason? This is the same reason why I don't like iPhone. I'm not able to install AndroidFileTransfer wherever I need to use my phone as USB storage.

I think with the Jellybean its changed its not from the MIUI. I have ONE X , after update to JLB it is also like that . windows recognise it as MTP .

Maybe but I don't think so.. my DHD with MIUI JLB was working like I expected.

Then on your DHD JLB is not from HTC. may be its modded one ! because CM and some other ROM developer include mod to mount as storage device in JLB.

yep, it was MIUI from miui.us and then JLB MIUI from here and the mod (mount as storage) can be applied to M2?
