How will the bootloader lock in Hyper OS 3 affect Xiaomi EU?

I've seen in recent news that Android 16 will no longer allow bootloader unlocking (this is on Google Pixel, I think). The point is that other brands like Samsung have already implemented it with One UI 8 and Xiaomi supported the idea starting with Hyper OS 3, so will there be a way to continue using custom ROMs on Xiaomi devices? I'm also trying to understand the impact this news will have on Xiaomi EU developers and their ROMs.

Just pay and unlock it, without going through xiaomi official unlock ****ery, i unlocked my 15 ultra bootloader instantly using paid & remote service for 50 bucks, ncunlock as example, im now using Xiaomi.eu and passed all integrity checks, if xiaomi stops bootloader unlocking in future im out, will go to Oneplus or any other brand that still support custom ROM idea, if all android companies stop bootloader unlock then i ll just get me an iphone
