Import Image files into MIUI Gallery

I am running MIUI 1.7.8.0 on my D Incredible and I am not able to import my photos into my Gallery. In past versions i was able to load them in. I have the photos located in my phone storage and not on my SD card. Is it possible to manually add them. I attempt to add them by going to my gallery and telling it to rescan.. But it will only search my SD card is there any way around this. It also wont import my music that is not on my SD card
