Hi Guys,

I need your help. As I can see, with Installation of Android 7, the phone is always locked.
Therefore I had to use EDL,which worked but now I am back at Android6.

How can I install Android 7 without locking Bootloader?
From Android 7 I tried to install TWRP for Android 7 via fastboot. BUt did not work. Only the offocial latest version 3.02.0 worked, but not compatible with Android 7.

The other problem. I waited one week, but unlocking BL stopped still at 50%. My account has permission
But when I installed official developer version 6.15, I was able to unlock my bootloader immeadeately. Same PC, and setup.
So I see the following problems after installation to Android 7.

1.) no working TWRP for further updates
2.) BL unlocking not possible. official CN version required
3.) With EDL I can only install Android 6.

Would it be a possibility:
1.) Install offiial developer version CN
2.) unlock BL from there
3.) Install XIAOMI.EU (Andtoid 7)?
What about TWRP?

What about TWRP?

1. Install offiial developer version CN
2. unlock BL from there
3. install twrp for 7, it work fine
4. reboot to twrp
5. wipe data, cache, dalwik
6. install EU rom

I did it and I have no problem.

Hi

which TWRP did you install?
I used: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767135741
TWRP_Libra_7.0.zip.
I unpacked the img file and tried to install via fastboot.

I could write with: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
But when I tried to reboot with fastboot boot recovery.img
I had the following error "failed dtb not found".

Must be an error of the file.
On the offcial page there is only the version 3.0.2-0
This version is from 2016. When I also tried to flash this version with fastboot, it worked. But not with the other file.

What is the problem? I believe version 3.0.2-0 is not workimg with Android 7.

About TWRP 3.0.2, after reboot in recovery mode, TWRP is "frozen" for two minutes, then begins to work right. What happens?

Hi,

I have the same problem i'm never install bootloader locked.

TWRP_Libra_7.0.zip no work for me.

When you unpacked TWRP_Libra_7.0.zip you should get twrp.img file.
I assuming that you didn't rename unpacked twrp.img file
You should write fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

Try to enter recovery with Volume Down + Power button after you flash recovery

I can write fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

When make fastboot oem device-info

get
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
OKAY [ 0.060s]
finished. total time: 0.061s

it works fine to me

you must unlock bootloader

C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot>fastboot oem device-info
...
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: true

I renamed. But same problem. I used as name recovery: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and also
TWRP: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img.

rename twrp.img as recovery.img , put recovery.img on C:\adb folder, after this open cmd from adb (Shift + Right click) when the phone is pluged on laptop and is in fastboot mode, type on cmd: fastboot flash recovery.img

guys, there is nothing wrong with the file
please make sure you install TWRP 7 in Android 7, that's all
I have the same issue and now it's resolved

I used new TWRP (Libra TWRP_7) when I already
under XIAOMI.EU. But I have another much bigger problem, which does not allow the reinstallation
of Android 7.11.

Maybe I should switch to inofficial Cynongenmod / LineageOS?

XIAOMI makes it nearly impossible to unlock Bootloader again.

I have 2 accounts
- one older received approval in July 2016. Now there is the messagge "sorry, your application has been rejected.
Immedeately I opened a tread to complain. But nothing happened sinse more than 2 weeks.
- I also opened a new accound 3 weeks ago. I received SMS with approval.
But then I was stuck with 50% error. I was told to wait. But after 5 days, when I wanted to try again,
there is again the message "sorry application rejected". And that during one week after i received the SMS.
How should it be possible to unlock the BL again?
- with an other account, I was able to unlock BL. But this works only under original CN Developer ROM.
But then I cannot install XIAOMI.EU again,as BL will be locked during the update.
With EDL I can also only go to Android 6, but never to Android 7 in the future.

One other point. I also have a MI5S from XIAOMI, with Global Stable. But BL is locked also.
Is it possible to change to Global Developer with locked BL via the official Recovery from the Global Stable (no OTA)?
I know that MIflash does not work, and EDL command might be blocked, as it is done with the MI5. But this is the only handy where I found this comment that XIAOMI is blocking EDL. They want to prevent that shops can install their own ROMs.

as far as i've known, you only need to re-unlock one time after upgrade
