Since xiaomi.eu is based on MIUI China Stable, I guess that the Google integration is being done by xiaomi.eu, not by Xiaomi China.
I noticed 2 things regarding battery optimization that was added in Android M. I am not talking about MIUI specific battery optimization, but about the standard Android M stuff.
1.
The config screen for battery optimization is not available in settings. I had to make an Activity shortcut with Nova launcher to get to that screen. But some apps need to be set to "not optimized" to run OK during Doze mode. I know, that this does not disable Doze mode, but lifts some restrictions. For example, K9 mail needs to be set to "not optimized".
So, that screen should be available without tricks.
2.
In that same screen, one can see that various Google apps and services are set to "not optimized" by default and that makes total sense for many apps, so that they run reliable.
But some are missing. For example "Contacts Storage" is set to "not optimized", but "Calendar Storage" is not. Also, GMail should be set to "not optimized".
Who is configuring the defaults here? xiaomi.eu?
