New [K20 Pro] Custom tiles are not responding

For several months now I am unable to use custom tiles provided by 3rd party apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.simonesestito.ntiles They are just greyed out (even if the feature is on), tapping has no effect. I'm able to go into application by holding the tile.

I'm also able to make them work by removing and adding but they stop working after a reboot.

Currently on MIUI 12.5 (21.1.6/7) but the problem started somewhere on MIUI 11 or 12
