Hi, the Mi 11 (venus) does not broadcast a 5GHz hotspot, only 2.4GHz functions. This has something to do with the United Kingdom WiFi channel configuration, as using the new WiFi region selector added in 22.3.3 to choose another region (such as the United States) allows for the 5GHz hotspot to function correctly and to broadcast.

As far as I understand, the region selector was specifically created by Xiaomi.eu because the UK WiFi configuration is broken in some cases, and was the default configuration of the ROM. So you are mostly creating a bug based on a solution Xiaomi.eu just provided to you...
I am not sure your issue can be solved until the original Chinese ROM is fixed (and fixing the behaviour of the 5G WiFi in the UK is probably not high on the Chinese ROM team priority list)

That's a shame, for anyone with the same issue I have found the France WiFi configuration to circumvent this issue. The France config is also optimal due to France having the same WiFi channels as the UK.

JiaiJ is correct, and this has already been discussed.
Sorry, I thought that was only relevant to a certain 5GHz band and not the general function of 5GHz hotspot.
