Hello!
I just bought the Mi5 and the first thing I noticed is that the download and upload speed is VERY SLOW.
For example when I download something from the Playstore the download speed is usually 300 kb/s, I can see it going up to almost 2MB/s but only for a brief moment then it goes back to 300 kb/s.
I was uploading a video file to Google Drive and it was taking FOREVER! The upload speed was 5 kb/s!
And my internet is very fast on my Macbook Pro and on my iPhone 5s. My download speeds are 4MB/s and uploads are very fast too, so this is a problem with the Mi5
After doing some research I found out that a lot of people have this problem. I guess I need to install a ROM? Wanted to know more about it because it's kinda confusing... then I read people saying the some of the latest updates make the phone even worse... damn I just want a phone that works how it's suppose to work!
Oh and I have a MAC so... how am I going to do that?!
My Mi5 version:
MIUI GLOBAL 8.1 Stable (8.1.2.0 - MAAMIDI)
Android 6.0.1 MXB48T
