PIP does not work for with full screen gestures. With the navigation buttons works well pressing home, but with gestures if you swipe up and wait a second (going to recent area) you have the same issue last week (PIP window is transparent and but can be pressed, problems to go back to the app...). Seems like an issue related only to the swipe up and stay to go to recent area. I've checked with some users that said that the bug is solved and they all had navigation buttons. They checked with gestures and had the bug.
There is a workaroud for Youtube and Maps: You can press the settings icon on notification area or, in Youtube only, swipe until you get out of the app.
