Thanks. Mine is grayed out, but I'm running an older software version.

Maybe not, first: cover the sensor for less than a second to unlock the calibrate button, then tap on calibrate and cover again for few seconds, then cover again and tap on test button then uncover, you should see a pass message ^^

However, I tried this app, went through the calibration process, rebooted and now the sensor works fine in calls!

No, I have tried this several times but it seems has no effect for me, even if I keep installed it...

Nope, only unlocked bootloader ^^

Guys, try to turn off the Proximity sensor from call settings, reboot and then open it again. Should be working then. This is what I do.

I have the same problem with the feature to turn off touch while in pocket. It triggers when it shouldn't

It's a known bug, still no fix yet
