Redmi K80 / K80 Pro released in China

the phones have been released in China just last week:

Both phones offer already WiFi 7, K80 Pro has even got the newest Qualcomm SM8750-AB Snapdragon 8 Elite
Can't wait to see some modified ROMs here in the forum

I have bought k80 (tradingshenzhen) and waiting for the possibility of unlocking the bootloader. The Chinese ver. does not have Android Auto ( mostly I need) and can't add my payment card to the wallet. Anyway that is great, cheep phone.

Yes it's a pity with the bootloader. But do all the other things work in Europe, or to be more exact Germany?

I'm in UK now. Phone should work in Germany without any problems. You can choose English or Chinese language.

Now unlocking the bootloader has become almost impossible, due to the restrictive policy adopted by Xiaomi

If you already have the bootloder unlocked, no problem, otherwise it will be almost impossible to unlock. because from what I understand, a Chinese device cannot be unlocked using a global account

A few months ago i asked ncunlock ih he could unlock a Chinese k80 pro and he said no problem. Now instead he's saying it is no longer possible, especially on HyperOS v2, not even for those holding a legit Chinese Xiaomi account. I'm yet to understand, and I haven't found anything about, if something changed and it is now completely impossible to unlock these Chinese devices even by paid services like ncunlock...

Chinese people should still be able to unlock their chinese devices with some specific requirements.

That's what i wrote. Paid services are usually Chinese guys who used to provide legit Chinese Xiaomi accounts in addition to technician miassistant and php to unlock Chinese devices bootloaders. Though as said above, especially on HyperOS v2, that's no longer possible, and I'm wondering what's changed.
