Dear Xiaomi EU Forum Team,

I am writing to request the replacement of Google Search on home screen launcher with Xiaomi Search on HyperOS. Xiaomi Search offers several superior features that enhance user experience. Additionally, I suggest integrating Google Search within Xiaomi Search for broader functionality.

At least to add it as a second option

Key Features of Xiaomi Search:
Enhanced Privacy
AI-driven Suggestions
Offline Search Capabilities
Customizable Interface
Faster Performance
And search inside the contacts and apps

Please consider translating Xiaomi Search to English and integrating Google Search within it for a comprehensive search solution.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards,

No. Xiaomi Search cannot be translated. Its inner interface is an online page, and its functionality is an obfuscated online JavaScript.
I suggest Heytap Global Search, used on global Realme devices and works great on MIUI/HyperOS.
This is really interesting, I didn't know there was an option to use other apps as search engines on the home screen.

Yes, any app that has an Activity with the standard "android.search.action.GLOBAL_SEARCH" intent can be used for that purpose.

It works perfectly on our ROMs. If you can't find it, then you're not using our ROM.
I'm using the HyperOS by xiaomi.eu
1.0.6.0.TKCCNXM and Global Search 5.15.0 , I can download and install it, just can't find it on my device

Home settings -> Search bar provider -> select the first "Global Search" option.
If you're using "Classic" home screen then you can also pick "Swipe up search provider".

I think I've messed up something with my home screen setting, there's no option for search provider selection :p
