[ROM][AOSP4.3] GDroid V0.3

Hey guys. As Promised here is my custom rom based on AOSP 4.3.

This is an early build but i am sharing it anyway.

What i have added:
CMFilemanager
Appolo music player
Android Terminal Emulator
Rooted
BusyBox installed

TODO(these are pretty much in order of importance to me)
Integrate root/superuser
Integrate BusyBox
Change rom name in Build.prop
Add DSP Manager
Get Better bootanimation(anytime)
Add reboot option to power menu
Integrate Ad-Block

.
.
Integrate T-Mobile Theme engine

Installation Instructions
Must have CWM installed
Download rom and place on phone SD card
If coming from any other rom do full wipe
Flash rom and reboot
Reboot to recovery and flash gapps
Reboot and Enjoy

make sure you say no when CWM asks to disable recovery flashing on the system partition where you install this rom.

Before flashing to this version i would recommend you unistall Busybox if you have it installed to make sure nothing conflicts
Sync with AOSP Sources
Sync with Xiaomi Sources(Adds new kernel to enable notification led blinking)
Integrate busybox
 
2013-08-21(V0.2)
Integrated root
 
2013-08-20(V0.1)
initial release

Also remember you must flash gapps find them on goo.im

Everything works so far. Let me know if you find anything not working.

suggestion : maybe u could integrate entropy and adblock too

I might look at doing that but i think it would required 2 many changes...plus i think stock camera does a great job and also the plethora of 3rd party apps fill any other need.

ive been using your rom since just now, so far so good.
Very stable, tho i crashed once. might be memory leak or some sort as it doesnt occur for the 2nd time yet.
I missed a few features tho, like change battery to percentage. Detailed volume control (i need this, because i often put calls to maximum, and notifications to midbar because i text alot, and loud text volume is a lil bit annoying ) , LED option, and cosmetics setting.

these setting will of course, make your rom more appealing to users

was browsing through playstore, then playstore fc, the screen blackout for about 1s, then it loads back home screen and launcher. everythings going good after that though.

Just flash the kernaliser / crossbreader MOD zip in CWM recovery & install BusyBox + Script Manager.... then you can have mod of your choice... not only adblocker & entropy right ???

Only if you have true dualboot enabled.

I am using this rom and it is exceptional, stable and fast.
Flash gapps 4.3 and SU and no problem.
Installed greenify, gemini and no frills cpu and no problem or fc.
Camera and Call works fine.
I installed Holo Launcher HD because is my favorite launcher

Just to keep you guys in the loop. Went home on my lunch and started building a version that should have root/superuser built-in...if it builds lol... As for all these requests i will just say that i built this rom for me and will (try to) integrate things that i deem useful and worth my limited time to try and get integrated. I only share this so anyone else that wants to use it can. I also pretty much want to keep it as close to stock android as possible as it then makes a nice slim alternative.

I've understand that build paranoid is complicated, but what about magic fun? It has all the pa features... There's a rom in the chinese forums, but it would be awesome if you can build it, so we can discuss here in english

Great, but why it scores so low in Antutu benchmark ? maybe around 18k mark eventhough it is based on latest resources ?
is it because of lack of optimization or these builds are not meant for our hardwares at present ?
Can i get an answer also, why it has to be so bland in terms of looks & UI at the cost of file size ? are we so crunched in terms of internal space or RAM size or what ?
Eventhough it is smaller in size & more snappier & smoother than the current MIUI, why it scores so low on benchmark tests & how it performs so well in terms of UI ?
Excuse me for my noobness, but i am no expert in this field & would like to know about it from experts .

well i can answer 1 point of that with 100% confidence and that is that the ui looks the way it does becuase this is STOCK android directly from google the way it was meant to be(or at least intended to be by google) as for the antutu scores i can't comment on those yet...could be something related to drivers/libs provided by xiaomi or some tweaks used in CM....but in the end i don't really care about benchmark scores it's about the ui and rom smoothness...

TrueDualBoot notes:
Enabling or disabling TDB will completely wipe your data-partition. Once enabled your data partition will be VIRTUALLY split which means that both systems together can use the full space of the data-partition.
There are some things which will break TDB:

• everything which removes CWM(like Xiaomi Updater App's live install)
• ROM's which don't support mount_ext4.sh (I did not see any ROM without support yet)

so the only real thing that will be bad is that you can't use xiaomi's updater app...
