Screen off and sensors

Hey all,
I was a fervent user of sleep as android with my Mi2, but since update 3.6.7 my phone isn't able anymore to detect the accelerometer with the screen turned off. Can anyone confirm that this is happening also with their mi2?
In the official miui changelog (http://en.miui.com/thread-4296-1-1.html) there is something mentioned about a fix for sensors, does anyone know why this is not in the miuiandroid changelog?
