Security Warning During Setup

I tried flashing the latest build for my Redmi Note 3 Pro, and during the setup at the "Login to your Mi account" stage, I get a warning that it's "Unable to verify device security" and I'm not able to go any further, so I've had to reflash back to CyanogenMod 13.

It has worked in the past - any ideas?

Tried a full system\data\cache wipe, reflash, same issue.

You have to "Sign out" from Mi Account before reset/wipe data to prevent this. You could try disabling PIN code from SIM card so it will have data access when login screen comes up. Connection can be bad, may have to try login few times before success.

I eventually worked out that I needed to sign into i.mi.com and remove the "Find phone" feature for my device. You're right though, even after doing that it took several tries before it eventually connected. Got it going in the end!
