Resolved Sgs2 copy contact to clipboard still broken

Hi, this has been reported a couple of dozen times. Its still not possible to copy paste contacts from contact list. When one hits copy, it says copied to clipboard but when one pastes it doesn't paste anything....

Just want to report it's working fine for me on my SGS2 with 2.8.31

Really? You go in your contact list, try to copy a phone number to clipboard and when you paste it pastes it? Only copy paste in contact list doesnt work, everywhere else it works fine. I think you are wrong cause in 5 sgs2 with latest miui none work.

OK...

Tried it in a few applications.

I can copy paste contact numbers as you suggest from a contact to sms message body, email message body, whatsapp message body and to gtasks and gnotes, but copy paste to a new word document in Polaris Office it seems not to be in the clipboard content.

I guess it's half broken...

Do you use long press on contact number and 'copy contact to clipboard' option?

ok. even stranger...

I can also create folder names in Polaris Office with content I copy paste from contact list but cannot paste the number to the body of any new document spread sheet etc.

Hopefully this info helps somebody.

Would be good if other users tried to copy google contact to clipboard from contact list and tell us if it works

When was the last time you full wiped? If you like doing it. Use Titanium Backup to restore /data apps ONLY. Not system. So you can restore all your game progress and 3rd party apps. Backup everything.

Then do full system wipe. Reflash. Then restore from Titanium.

I found the problem...it is swype keyboard that doesn't work in contact list when you try to copy paste. With the default keyboard it works fine.
