Should I sell the Mi-1s for buying hongmi/redmi 1s?

Hey,
I'm new here.

My brother has Xiaomi Mi-1S (with S3 CPU dual core 1.7Ghz).
Right now in these days the new Hongmi [WCDMA] became Avilable in online stores (with S400 quad core 1.6Ghz).

My brother is a guy who like to play games on his mobile phone and he happy with his current phone. but my question is: Should I sell his phone for the new hongmi? and the new hongmi has good GPU to play games(more than the mi-1S)?

I think it's a good deal because the hongmi 1S has better specs:
- bigger and sharper display.
- quad core against dual.
- newer OS(4.3 while the mi-1s is 4.1)
- more accecories.

I know that the old hongmi is pretty laggy on heavy games while the mi-1s is almost not.
What do you say?

I know about the Mi-2S, but it cost about 100$ more that he want to spend.

I ask again if you know, is there any chance that heavy games like asphalt 8 will work properly on the hongmi 1S like the mi-1S or even better? (I know that question sounds silly but I'm asking to be sure.)
