Touchscreen intermittently loses input while dragging finger continuously

This started around 1-2 months after I bought my Xiaomi Mi 6. Touchscreen intermittently loses input even though I drag my finder continuously. Happens once or twice every 1 or 2 days. Restart may fix it or sometimes only for a shot while. I think this happens when the phone gets warmer.
It is really annoying when it happens since I barely can use my phone. doubles or triples while typing or going into menus while trying to scroll the page etc...

I don't lift my finger but the sensor breaks receiving touch input.
