Hello Sebsch1991, my Redmi Note 3 is on MIUI 7.0 Stable (7.0.19.0.0 (LHNCNCJ)Unlock Bootloader
You can easily unlock your Bootloader with the following procedure. You dont need to apply for any Unlock Code or other stuff.
REQUIREMENTS:
-- RedMi Note 3
-- Developer ROM installed (stable will not work !!!)
-- working MI-Account (verified and SIM CARD activated)
-- Unlocking Software ( get it here )
- Start your Phone running a developer ROM
- Proceed through the Setup Wizard
- Connect your Phone to your verified Mi-Account (Settings -> Accounts)
- Login to i.mi.com and make sure that your new RedMi Note 3 is connected to that Account. (It appears that it only works when you connected a SIM-Card/Phone Number to your Account - Can be from another phone but your Account must be linked to a SIM-Card.)
- Reboot your Phone to Fastboot Mode (Power + volume down)
- Connect your Phone via USB to your Computer
- Start the MiFlashUnlock.exe (find the link at REQUIREMENTS)
- Click the left Button (chinese text)
- Login with your Mi-Account you used to link your new Phone
- Press the Button with chinese Text and watch the show
- Your Bootloader is unlocked when the progressbar shows 100%.
- Reboot your phone.
Flash TWRP RecoveryYou will need the TWRP recovery to root your device. Further you will be able to install Custom ROMs (like sMiUI) on your device.
I have linked an existing TWRP Image made by a guy called "cloud". Unfortunately he still had a bug in his version which cancelled ROM installations for the RedMi Note 3! I patched the TWRP Image and fixed this bug. So you will find a fully working TWRP Image in the Requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
-- RedMi Note 3
-- Unlocked Bootloader (see above)
-- TWRP Image File ( DOWNLOAD )
-- Fastboot Binaries (you can find a fastboot.exe in the Unlocking Software ZIP)
- Boot your Phone to Fastboot Mode (Power + volume down)
- Connect your Phone via USB to your Computer
- Start a windows terminal in the directory where your patched TWRP Image and Fastboot exe is located.
- type "fastboot flash recovery TWRP_redminote3_patchedBySebsch1991.img"
- Wait for the process to finish
- type "fastboot reboot"
- After your system comes up you can reboot to Recovery mode (Power + volume up)
- Enjoy your fully working TWRP Recovery
Enable ROOT Access
REQUIREMENTS:
-- RedMi Note 3
-- SuperSU Zip-File ( DOWNLOAD )
Check out www.smiui.net for a pre-rooted ROM with many other Features! (redmi note 3 version coming soon)
- Download the SuperSU Zip-File and copy it on your Phone
- Boot your Phone to Recovery Mode (Power + volume up)
- Chose "INSTALL"
- Chose the downloaded SuperSU Zip-File
- Wait for installation process to finish
- Reboot your Device
- Enjoy rooted RedMi Note 3!
You dont have official rom. Your rom is vendor rom. Try the mi unlock tool. If you dont get it done, use mi flash tool to flash official dev rom to your device and then try again.Hello Sebsch1991, my Redmi Note 3 is on MIUI 7.0 Stable (7.0.19.0.0 (LHNCNCJ)
So what to do now? Unlock tool doesn't work with stable rom.
How can i put another rom first? Is there a way to flash it?
Do you know which rom? Do you have a link?
Hope you can help me out.
Thanks

Hi, can sombody help me?
I have redmi note 3 mtk and it's unlock already.
I fastboot twrp already and everything is ok, but unfortunately while I press power & vol up button, the TWRP srcreen is not appearing. (instead mi recovery).
Is there any problem on my steps above? Any suggestion please?
Thank you
Noted, actually I've done several time. But I'll try again. Thank you.1. Reflashing again with fasboot rom latest rom
2. Install twrp again
Hi!Noted, actually I've done several time. But I'll try again. Thank you.
First of all your rom is a fake vendor rom so the first thing to do before anything else is get rid of that and clean your device by installing china/global fastboot rom from en.miui.com.So, this is the case:
I have a Redmi Note 3 MTK 3/32 gb. ROM is MIUI Global 7.2 / Stable 7.2.5.0.0 (LHNCNDA), is an old ROM.
Bootloader is locked. I cannot flash the latest fastboot China dev rom, because BL is locked.
I cannot unlock with Mi Unlock Tool, because I have to bound device with Mi account. To do so I must go in developers options > Mi unlock states. This Mi unlock states is just not there, I think because of the old MIUI ROM. So, I cannot bound device to Mi account. I put device in Mi account with logging in in Mi account and the device is there, but seems not to be bound like it should. So, I am stuck here. No bounding no unlocking, no unlocking no flashing and no TWRP.
Anyone has a solution to unlock?
Yep, I know and I already found a tuto for doing that with this MTK device. Thanks. I will have to flash with SP Flash Tool and not with Mi Flash Tool. Hopefully it will be done. I will inform you.First of all your rom is a fake vendor rom so the first thing to do before anything else is get rid of that and clean your device by installing china/global fastboot rom from en.miui.com.

Flashed the RN3 (MTK) with success. Today unlocked the RN3. But cannot install TWRP (from miui.eu and from twrp.me) on the RN3.Great!
After "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" and when it's done, press and hold Vol+ and power button to restart phone and release power button when Mi logo appears. Continue pressing Vol+ untill in TWRP.Flashed the RN3 (MTK) with success. Today unlocked the RN3. But cannot install TWRP (from miui.eu and from twrp.me) on the RN3.
The command "fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" is okay, but "fastboot boot twrp.img" give "FAILED" (unknown command).
Also with "fastboot boot recovery twrp-3.1.1-0-hennessy.img" > FAILED.
