Would you consider paying for the MIUI Weather app if it was made available?


Would you pay for MIUI Weather given what you have just read?

we'd only look to charge a fair price and that would be $1 / £1 - money is used to go back into community, although lately i do wonder! ..
 
I don't really need this app personally, but I would gladly pay for it to support the hard work Mark and others do for the community. I was concerned that selling this app would be unfair to the Chinese developers who wrote the app initially; Mark has clearly stated however he's gotten consensus from the MIUI dev team and has fully disclosed his intentions to them. So long as this is okay with the MIUI developers, I think what Mark is asking for is more than fair...
 
ehh.. it has to use your servers? a dollar seems to cheap :O haha i would be glad to pay a dollar for it!

Need to know more about the functionality before I would say yes to paying for it. What does it have on the other weather apps (weather bug, weather channel, etc) or the all-in-one homescreen apps (simi clock, beautiful widgets, etc?

For a buck, I'd pay. Heck I'd pay 3 or 4 for a miui weather app. The stock android weather app is ugly. Cheers. Can't wait

i appreciate all the hard work, but i wount pay for something until we get some other payment ways on the market. i dont know even few people who own a credit card.
 
I voted no on principal alone. My honest opinion is, if it's not originally your code, then you shouldn't sell it because it's not your app to begin with, despite any modifications anyone has made. Not to mention that even selling this app for only $1 would create an amazing amount of profit, more than what is truly needed for the reason specified. But this is only my opinion and holds no bearing on whether it will be sold or not; it's just how this crazy world works.

I have the support of MIUI.com for my work, any money we would potentially gain on this would fund the server, its as simple as that. I have a job, i DONT NEED money from this, if that were the case Language packs would be paid only! need I say more to people? :(

Additionally the number of people i've trained to translate and use MIUI on a modification level, all for free, all to help out :-(

I think this needs to be read again. He clearly has the go ahead from the Chinese and would pour any additional funding back into this community. Its a dollar ppl...u guys are ridiculously cheap.

If your reply was due to my post, I'm fully aware of what has been said. I have read this thread from OP to the very last post. None of that has changed my opinion, which was based on my principals. And I also find it quite insulting you would call me or anyone else who voted no for any reason "ridiculously cheap". We all have our own opinions about this subject, and who are you to judge anyone here? I have absolutely no problem paying for apps, but I do have a problem with paying someone for something they don't own.

And that's my opinion because that's how I see it. My perception is my reality after-all. And I stated in my previous post, if bares no weight on anyone's decision to sell or not sell and to buy or not buy.

You know, I find it funny that only the people who have voted no and voiced their opinions have been ridiculed and burned in this thread. And this is all I have to say about this matter anymore.
 
I'd gladly pay. Probably will donate soon anyways. Excellent rom, great community, and it sounds like this app would be well worth it.
