Xiaomi 12s Pro does not see internal storage where new rom zip file is after boot into TWRP. I have read and tried some stuff but no go so far. Tried to reboot phone and verify zip file is still there and is stuck on bootloop

look here… there are hints. did you format data partition as example. remount mtp and so on
Ok, I got the storage figured out and I was able to install the new rom, but the phone on reboot keeps booting back into twrp instead of finishing install. I read that you should clear cache but is what is safe to clear before reboot after installing rom. The problem with the 0mb storage was fix when I put a pin password on lock screen before going into twrp. Any help on reboot issue would be appreciate it.

You have to format (not wipe) data in TWRP
- if you install the xiaomi.eu rom for the first time
- if you change from weekly to stable (recommended)
- if you change from stable to weekly (recommended)
- you will loose your data -> make a backup
did you format data?
Yes this the first time. Just got phone last week and had to wait 168 hours to unlock. Do you have a link on this format procedure. I have see video on this for other models but, they do it before loading new ROM.
