Model name for ROM is mido, same as Redmi Note 4X. Settings -> About Phone says model number "Redmi Note 4X", just to add to the confusion The box has a few additional red stickers "Global Version".

I can now confirm it does indeed support band 20. This can be added in the opening post.

I purchased mine from to2c.com. I got the cheapest shipping option. It took a while to get here and tracking did not work. This was known up front so I didn't mind. The phone came with the original ROM, no reseller bogus software. Happy with this seller.

No problems. That device is already on the original post. The global version is actually Redmi Note 4X Taiwanese version and it is branded as Redmi Note 4 Global version for international market.

Redmi 3s Global - "land" firmware untested (2016030)

Band B20 has Redmi 3S with code 2016031 - international, not version 2016030 - this is china version.
Look at the photo boxes and confirmed support for B20 band.

Buy Global Redmi 4x if you want B20 band. I think there is not a Global version for 4Gb ram. Not sure though.

That is only global rom, not global version of the phone.

Here is Global version of the phone that comes with EU charger and CE certificate and also B20 band bit only 3gb ram.

in the UK. and I understand the phone will need Band 20 to be able to connect up to 4g with O2 in the UK.

Could someone please confirm what I need to check when purchasing from the UK from China (probably).

Redmi Note 4 Global version (snapdragon) has LTE B20 support.
Check the item description for B20 (800MHz) support also to confirm.
