Hmmm, this happens so many times, so i'm wondering if i'm doing anything wrong. When i try to go to recovery/fast boot mode i get like a Android with a "!" point. Am i doing anything wrong?

EDIT: When i did it, it went into Factory mode instead of Fastboot mode, do you have a clue why?

Please read the guide it will tell you exactly what to do :) You have probably already done it but it tell you step by step what to do :)

update.zip is the weekly update. Update.apk is the tool you use to install update.zip :)​
 
I got a feeling i bought a fake :( It was supposed to be the Xiaomi m1 Young, but i can't get into fastboot. Is there any other way?

Well if you post the info on the info on the phone in a new thread asking maybe somebody can help you to find out if its fake or not :) They probably have a signature model nr or something like that makes it this or that model.

But you dont get fastboot at all when you do the method described to get into fastboot?
 
I can't not get the phone in flash mode as method1.
Could you please upload the brush tool for method 2, the link is dead.

take a picture of recovery mode and post it here and we can take a look. if it don't match what i have and other users have its fake.

1)If power adapter plugged, press Volume Up+Power button, it displays as below.

Hey its fake i just did the steps you did and i didnt even get what you did in step 1 in the 2 first pictures.

You are suppost to. MI button, volume UP, and power, i always start with holding the MI button and the volume up and then power so im sure the phone dont start before i hit the 2 other buttons :)
But you get the wrong screen when you do this step 2 shown in the last 2 pictures.

Should try to get your money back.
1: talk to the seller and see if you can return and get your money back.
2: If you paid with a credit card talk to the company that you have credit card with maybe they can help and give you the cash back.
3: If you paid with a normal card talk to the bank and see what they say.
4: If you paid with paypal or some other way talk to them.


You are suppost to get this.

I went to Shenzhen- China and bought this phone from below link.

Now I come back to Vietnam and use the phone as brick.

When the phone language in Chinese, it can make phone call and receive call normally.
If I change the langue to English, need to press country code to make any call (for example +84904.......) , can not receive domestic call, can only receive international call as this kind of call include country code, the message inform "com.android.phone stopped unexpect...." do you have any idea on this?
 
The pictures above you also took of your phone in recovery mode? and stuff? im gonna post some pictures in a minute of mine in recovery mode.
Since the phone look so good faked, it makes it hard to tell if its real or not. Becuase they make the phone so correct to the real thing some times. my reason for saying its fake is becuase of the recovery system looks all wrong, unless xiaomi changed it to look like s**t its fake.

The box and everything about the phone seems correct but the recovery system and that parts looks very wrong

because that recovery looks so different thats why i think it might be a fake. You havent installed anything else to it? like a the stock google rom? or any 3rd party recovery ? anything like that?
 
After your post i checked my new m1s, for being sure that is orginal (recovery and fastboot everything ok :) )

What i find out is that m1s has

- "1s" wrote on the back part of the phone, check if yours have it too

then Info--->Device info

Check if your phone has a qualcomm gpu adreno 200

then info----->Informations

Check Cpu frequency and other phone specs


I'm not sure this will give you the assurance that your phone is a M1S
but if the cpu is a mtk cpu, then is a fake.

Emaz: can you take a look where the battery is suppost to be and remove it and look under? On mine it says Mi-One Plus and WCDMA right under just trying to figure out if maybe your say Mi-One S or something like that different to what his picture show under the battery cover.

But yeah if you if you checked and you have recovery and fastboot that is the same as i posted pictures of and he don't and he hasn't changed the rom on his phone i would be sure its a fake since you have what i have. and the pictures of xiaomi website shows what i linked to before.

But damn they are making it really real its not like fake LV bag where the LV say something else and stuff like that. You now that 5 dollar bag on the street that cost 1000$ in the retail store.

Do what Emaz said and download the tool and check the specs and post it and if it dont show the correct specs its a fake im sorry :(

Regarding that you cant make a domestic call i'm unsure since it works when you use the chinese mode it might be some bad translation/apk not sure. Some moderator or developer must confirm what they do to the apk regarding the translation if they in someway change it other then language change that might have cause it to "brake". The error you get is regarding something went wrong and is broken but not sure what its related to i'm sorry. Sometimes its just like a code they put in there since something happened but its not related to a specific thing or it might be related to a specific area i just cant tell. Again im really sorry.
 
@OldSkoolRaver i don't think so because all Qualcomm Snpadragon S3 soc have adreno 220 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapdragon_(system_on_chip)#Snapdragon_S3

The difference between my sd card slod and his is the metal part seems missing on his phone.

Yeah i think unless he has installed a new rom that don't use miui at all he got fake phone.
Even if he had installed the stock xiaomi google android it would have had the recovery menu that i took pictures of. I did install the google stock rom and i dont think it changed the recovery menu. Cant say 100% sure since it's a couple of months ago or more.
 
I am a noob. Can anyone tell me how can I make a backup of My M1S has told in first page?

To be honest I'm not sure since its fake :( do it run miui and look like the screen pics you seen around of miui? what version of miui are you running? To be honest i would not try to update it or do anything to it since it might brick.

Just contact the seller and see what that will do, contact your bank/credit card company and see if they can help. You are definitely not the first person who has bought fake stuff so maybe they can help. Except from that im not sure what to help you with since im not going to tell you to flash it or do anything since im not sure how to do that.
