Any reason behind leaving band 20?

No because the main selling point is the Azian martket :) Thats why they dont release any smartphone with the 4G lower frequentie bands. When they hit the european martket with official stores and everything maybe then they will release smartphones with the knowing 800/900Mhz bands :)

Why don't they include needed hardware for such bands and leave it to developers for exploring.

It is not there sellingpoints. I told you the azian market is there sellingpoint. And over there they are using the higer frequentie bands.

If Xiaomi hits the European market with releasing in serval country's maybe. Than they will consider making it 4G for the western market.

But if Xiaomi goes European? Than the prices of China will be more because the different taxes in different country.

    I don't think it's a HW issue.
I think the chipset supports Band 20 but this frequency band is used otherwise in China. So they disabled it in Modem SW.
