Help! I installed 2.7.27 from my stock 2.3.6 (huawei honor) and now im stuck on the screen with the chinese characters saying "thanks for being with us for 100 weeks"

I waited for 10 mins and it's still not moving on. It's my first attempt at rooting and installing custom roms, someone please help!

I followed this to root the 2.3.6 and installed rom manager

and followed the MIUI guide while using the 2.7.27 zip file

This happened to me too. Several times. :p I think it's nothing to worry about. :)

Turn off your phone (take your battery out and then insert it back in). Boot the phone into Recovery mode. (On SGS2, the shortcut is to hold Volume up + Home + Power key.) From there, do a full wipe and install MiUI all over again.
(When doing a full wipe, be careful not to format the area where you have MiUI zip file... it's best to have this file on an external SD card and when formating in recovery mode, don't format the external SD card.)

Ok I reinstalled from zip again after using ADB to get into recovery mode. This time i finally managed to get in to the launcher/lock screen, and it seems fine. SEEMS, i said. after playing around I realized its extremly laggish and it restarts itself on multiple occasions of crashing. It takes several minutes to boot up each time, is it supposed to take this long?

Also, it does not show me connected to the network!

guys, how do i register a xiaomi account? any english version of the registration page?

Hi....any updates on MIUI for Galaxy Note..
I want to buy Galaxy Note, but waiting for official support by miuiandroid...
Pls..

Try by register by email.
I did it

From my SGSII
I registered by e-mail. And when I enabled the feature on my phone, I logged in with my e-mail (not the phone number)... but the phone still wanted to send some kind of confirmation SMS.

Did you click the confirmation link in the email? After that it is done

From my SGSII

Yes, I did.

Look...
... I registered via the website. The chinese one. :) On my PC. Then I clicked a confirmation link in the e-mail and logged into my account via i.xiaomi.com (something like that). Everything was of course empty because I hadn't synchronized anything yet.
Then I took my phone, went into Settings > Accounts & Sync and added an account. I chose Xiaomi account, entered my e-mail and password and pressed the login button. A pop-up appeared saying that an SMS must be sent in order to enable the synchronization. I confirmed it (by pressing the Enable button) and that was it. My contacts, messages and gallery started synchronizing. Everything worked... there was only one problem: my phone didn't send one SMS message but a lot of them; I described everything here.

Why is it that even though the rom for the sgs 2 os based off Samsung's own roms, each release of the MIUI V4 rom consumes a ton of memory, I mean with the latest 4.0.3 rom from Samsung I could open 10 apps and the rom would never use more than 570mb of memory, but with MIUI if I do that the rom goes up to 800 and even more.
Are they planning to optimize this?

Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2

I absolutely agree! Memory usage is atrocious. This needs to be fixed.

First time I say this, I think... but this rom is really slowwww. The latest update is the slowest miui I've ever used. Consumes 750 MB of memory right at the boot, no apps opened, and everything is laggy as hell.
Why?!
I have done everything to figure this out, I even wiped everything and installed from 0. Nothing helps. The rom eats my meomory and every now and then, for no apparent reason it just locks and I have to hard reboot it.
Think I'll go back to last Fridays and wait for a new one.

Can you please fix the crash at ABOUT PHONE -> STATUS on i9300... had to use a third party application to read MAC address so I could add it to MAC filter on a router.
Also an option to disable file size warnings when you are on a mobile network on play store would be nice too.
Maybe also quiet hours - the phone is quite in the specific time range e.g. 22 - 7h

About phone issue also happens on Galaxy S2. Has not worked for ages.

Bug Report on HTC EVO 3D :

first off, thanks you very much guys for the awesome and tremendous efforts put into this :)

I just have one small and very annoying bug

the permissions manager crashes a lot
when fresh installing the rom, its ok, installing Titanium backup is ok, restoring root apps via FREE titanium is fine, but once I register titanium and it goes pro, and restoring a ROOT app via the titanium Hypershell function (no install dialogs), causes the permissions manager to freak out and FC
the only workaround to grant root access is to open the permissions manager and trust the app

I've sent a bug report and though I should also report here :)

thanks :)
