With my minimal developing skills I can't fathom to find a kernel in the zip...which is strange...no boot.img...am I dreaming...how can this rom work...unless ofcourse it just doesn't flash a boot.img and depends on the previous rom boot.img...for which i can understand your way of having a sense 3.6 or 4 rom,,,before flashing this rom !

Yeah you need to be on HTC 4.0. Look in OP for a tutorial for Desire S.

Now things fall in place...just a suggestion rather than forcing people to flash that complete rom and download 600 mb for it...just include the boot.img which should be max 3mb in the rom or as flashable fix...will be preferable...hboot thing is nice...will help...as still many use older hboot...
Just a few suggestions...:)
About me flashing I always manage to find ways...so don't worry will try it soon...once am done with my current rom thing :)

This is my first time updating MIUI. previous v 2.7.27 was my first try with miui and i am already in love with it. I have few question may be some one kindly help me.
1) can i update My HTC One X using updater? or i have to use clockwork mode recovery?
2) boot.img is same or different?? if it is same then i dont have to flash that file again in fastboot usb mode ?

When ever i try to use updater app it says i have latest build.
CAn any one help??

Thats fine then, but if people are using MIUI.com ROMs here then how can we troubleshoot problems if its not our ROM? They release ROMs, it takes us 1-3 hours to release ours. Not that long. If your Chinese, or even can speak Chinese use MIUI.com.

This is MIUIAndroid, an outside China community who likes MIUI, builds it, translates it, fixes things and what not.
I didn't want to get into an argument with you ibot, but you leave me no choice, when you talk about troubleshooting ( here all you do is pass on the bugs that you get from the forum) you don't actually fix them and your input does not necessarily gets taken into consideration so actually, you do not troubleshoot, ITS THEM and the bugs in THEIR ROMS will be the same bugs from yours. Its just clear like that dude. I speak 5 languages and can use any ROM I want. I have used theirs and yours. They have the same BUGs as them Like a mirror. No sense in debating that.

Anyone flashed VIVO yet? I'll give it a try as soon as the first wave of downloads is finished :)
I wonder how the camcorder is compared to the AOKP version.

I think that the bug was reported to the bugs section but since 2 updates nothing is done:
S2 - I9100 com.android.phone is FC-ing when trying to open Network operators in Mobile networks!

Is there a fix soon? :)

Regards,

Regards,

try this one from MIUI official and see if they have the same bug. http://www.miui.com/development.html let me know. Cause I don't have that BUG. Never have and need that a lot as I go to HKG a lot.

Regards,

this bug is since 3 Updates now... and the root rights bug is since 5 Updates...(but there is a workaround with supersu ) -_- ...

So why are you on this forum? I think you might be best served on MIUI China.

Same here with System UI error :(
Okay the system ui bug (FC) is there as soon as the phone boots and also comes up randomly. Also, no status bar. Had to revert to backup. Sorry for the lack of logcat. Maybe someone with the knowledge of adb can upload one soon.
@ Gatico not everyone can speak 5 languages and there are some apps which are not translated to english by the xiaomi guys like system monitor...etc. So the rest of us here do appreciate what miuiandroid team is doing. So there is no need to discourage them. So please back off.

Fine dude. Whatever I have been banned over 5 times already for trying to help people here and DID. BAN ME AGAIN oh mighty ONE.

Yes....used to downloaded from the official miui site as above, and fc when opening network operator and phone/status....Galaxy S3.....same bugs from beta until the latest v2.8.3...

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

WTF is this?????????
I get a System UI crash right after boot and I can't recover it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you kidding with this bugs??????

The first time I update without a backup and MUI does this???
Come on.... reverting to 2.7.27 for now.

Ouch. You obviously have no clue how long I spend re-trigger bugs on my device and then posting bug reports and contacting Xiaomi directly by email and chat.

We make mistakes in our translation which causes bugs. So yes we troubleshoot and lots of the fixes in the MIUI.com are thanks to US here at miuiandroid. Its obvious you like MIUI.com ROMs, but you don't have to continue to direct every user to their ROM. We don't use it for various reasons and this is MIUIAndroid not MIUI.com.

I'm not going to continue this. There are bugs in SGS2 ROM and I'm busy trying to track this down, not argue over a petty point.

SGS2
settings > about phone > status didn't work (yet :p)

anayways, congrats for 1 more happy friday ;)

I have not been banned. TOUCHE..LIKE A SIR.....

Then behave yourself and think outside the box and with more logic an open mind. At the end of the day (yes it gets dark) this is all done on free time, free of charge and provided freely for end users. Nothing is perfect and ever will be on any platform or device, and there will always be positive and negative feedback and both are more than welcome. But you need to take into account that this like any other Android OS or any other OS out there in the wild is constantly in a state of progression. Some things take time to fix, some things get fixed while working on something else - in sync. Everything takes time.

On the ban issue, we don't like to ban freely. Though if a ban was to come into place then it would not be a simple account ban, it would be a case of FULL ban meaning no way to make an account, or IP etc etc etc and the list goes on basically locked out of entering MIUI Android on any level.

Play nice please, enjoy and most of all be considerate.

Regards

OK, so, I got over my rant from the System UI error, did a clean install and voila, I'm on 2.8.3 BUT, laaaaaagggggg and the Lockscreen wallpaper is no longer transparent.
Come on MIUI, one step forward and two steps back....
This is not good.
