Probably a stupid question but I'll ask anyway as I am a novice.
I have an HTC Dev unlocked HTC Desire S so I have been wiping the phone, installing MIUI and then reinstalling apps, setting system settings etc.
Can I do a full backup within MIUI, wipe the phone, install the new version of MIUI and the restore the backup with all the system settings and apps? Or will this cause problems as I insttalled the apps and set the settings under the previous version of MIUI?

Apologies if this is a stupid question.

If your on our ROM already. Just flash the new ROM wiping dalvik & cache. As long as the base doesn't change you don't need to re-flash the boot.img so you don't need that whole process.

I thought I had to copy the boot image each time:(. Thanks for putting me straight. :)

hello guys! i have HTC Desire C but there is no rom for it =( i'm so sad :'( do you plan to make it for this device ?
 
any idea why im stuck on gsgII logo? i did wiped cache, even did full wipe via cwm, still its there (even with the original kernel)

md5 is ok, when i tried to reinstall via miui original cwm based recovery i got
assert failed
ro.product device
ro.build.product(status 7)
instalation aborted

i got sgs2 eu (regular version) and ive download miuiandroid_GT-I9100_ics-2.11.16.zip

I had the same issue with Firefox downloaded .zip. Re-downloaded with Chrome and problem solved.

i tested this rom on HTC HD2 and every things work perfectly
a great work :)

I have something called Airkan Phone running in this version of MIUI. Any idea what it is?

Also, the search icon is no longer the google search icon, it's grey, when I search it launches the MIUI default browser. How do I get it to default to another browser?

UPDATE: I reinstalled Google Apps and search now works with my chosen browser. Still don't know what Airkan phone is though.

It has to do with MiCredits I'm pretty sure.
 
@ibotpeaches: did you by any chance forget to add phone status fc fix into 2.11.16 gt-i9100?
