is it because Nexus 4 specs are similar to xiaomi mi2/s/?
XIAOMI was afraid of selling not many of their own phones.

only if XIAOMI officially through a third party open an account on ebay or Amazon and sell to the world then they could sell millions. and the bloddskerr APPLE wont b able to do nothing to stop it.

"Why Google didn't give official support to Xiaomi phones?"
You can be happy to have at least unofficial ROM for your phone.

Nexus 1 and Nexus S is obviously not supported anymore as those devices are old and slow (Nexus S has only 512MB ram so MIUI v5 is just slow). And I understand MIUIs position here - I personally wouldnt want to deal and optimise 512MB device for MIUI v5 that should have minimum 1GB ram - just not worth it. As for GNEX.. well It already had MIUI v4 JB so they just jumped to MIUI v5 and its 4.2 base. Nexus 4 never had Android 4.1.2 so it was impossible to do MIUI v5. So they waited for 4.2 MIUI that Gnex started. And I don't know if MIUI is doing Nexus 4 MIUI v5 currently. As they focused on newer devices like HTC One or MI3. Nexus 4 is old - maybe they need a community support and their votes like it was with SGS2.

surprisingly right now Nexus 4 has the latest MIUI version 3.8.11 for some reason.

2gb RAM, phone with potential, worth modding. It won't get official support anyway, maybe only here, if some of the HQ owns it.

I bet this topic is priceless.
