[rom] Ivan's Aosp Lollipop 5.1

Yeah, I've seen it, but it says only about Mi3. :)
it's because that's all for now...
however, let's not get fooled by google: Android 6 is actually only a minor update, like from android 5 to android 5.1. It doesn't include any changes that could justify the introduction of a new version. So, imho if you are currently on a stable lollipop rom with good battery life (like Ivan's android 5.1.1) then there is no need to look forward to the new Android version. Even if it could be ported tomorrow to MI2, which apparently is not the case, it would take some time to become stable for daily use.

Anyone knows if Ivan has released an AOSP 5.1 ROM with latest security fixes, and if yes, where can I find it?

read the OP.
latest Ivan's AOSP is 5.5.7 [7 may 2015]
It was may, I thought it was earlier this year, didn't check anything on the OP I just thought I missed a newer version.
So now that I checked, update the OP with the missing link.

@zipalign would be nice if you could update the OP again.

Busy week, I'm testing almost all roms here.

Perhaps do you know or someone here knows how can I enable volume rocker wake up?

Thanks!

Should be possible with xposed + GravityBox for LP. Actually my system language is german but the entry it should be named like "key actions" or "mediakey actions".
Alternatively someone wrote a own xposed module for his Moto G (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565009) maybe it also works on our Mi2S.

Concerning your choice of a suitable rom i can fully recomment the last Version of Ivans AOSP i postet above.
For me everything works fine including the clock and im reaching up to 3-4 hrs screen on time.
In addition the ui is buttery smooth.
Combinated with xposed+gravitybox and a Launcher of your choice, for me its the nano launcher, you can modify the look and the behaviour at its best.

I dont missing anything.

saluti

Thanks for the help. Xposed and GravityBox really helped adding some extra functions, but the Volume Rocker Wake doesn't work. When I enable it, pressing the volume keys with screen off just vibrates the phone. And Moto G module didn't work either.

I want to use the volume buttons because my power button is kinda wear off, phone have +2 years.

Hi,

how to migrate from MIUI v7 (merged partitions) to this ROM?
since you can't just change the rom without deleting all data you have to take a full backup, do a wipe, install the ROM and install (manually or automatic depending on if you synced with Google) all your apps again.

Hi, which recovery support merged partitions? Os should I rename Ivan's rom to update.zip and flash using original recovery (MIrecovery)?

@M1cha I have your twrp installed and your script, I can not install last ivan's which is in the first post. it returns an error...

Can You help me?
well it's the fault of ivan's zip(it checks the version and prevents downgrades). you have to wipe /system or edit the zip file to install it

Hi @zipalign sorry to disturb you but it's a long time I didn't use my Mi2s.
I gave it to my father, but he is experiencing some in call bug with latest CM11. I was thinking about updating it to Ivan's AOSP.

Just one question the 5.5.7 you provide on first post is made for stock layout?
I've read some pages back and read that yes, but 5.5.7 wasn't already out.

Does it has some huge bugs?

Best regards.
