This is the best way:

1. Unlock BL
2. Flash TWRP
3. Boot to TWRP
4. Format Data
5. Reboot to TWRP
7. Flash our ROM
8. Reboot to system

Apparently the mi6 is so buggy, it's like Xiaomi is saying go buy a cheaper device.

What rom version are you currently on? If on stable or offical you may still have 6.0!

Flashing the latest will update your device and maybe lock the bootloader in the process.

Lol, you could have flashed an AOSP ROM if u hate MIUI. I tried it for around 2 weeks but battery life was not as good as on MIUI.

Going by your post's this is not your first xiaomi device, so if you want to flash this weekly custom rom, you need to unlock your bootloader, flash TWRP and with that flash this rom.

Good luck with the unlock process, reports of people needing to make multiple attempts until successful! (spread out a week apart).
