Why are you so worried about RAM usage? I have a Mi5 with 3GB and no problem at all. Android is Linux based and some memory (or all not used memory) is dedicated to RAM cache. This cache is not freed when you press clean memory. It's used by apps if needed.
I don't have any lag problem with any MIUI8 I've tested... 7, 8 and 9.

Perhaps you should check your installed apps and CPU usage instead of RAM memory

I have many problems about memory on my mi5, 3gb of ram it's not enough in 2017, and it became more laggy with time!

I agree but not bug annoying me. For. File manager if you go right or left everything is ok again.
Sometime you have problem that frequency are stuck at 1689 minimum load CPU?

I miss much more the single tap hardware buttons options

Yeah. Just small bugs but it will be better if fixed right. I dont have any problem with cpu, no stuck at 1689.

Read first post. Never, never, NEVER do system wipe or you will brick your phone. Only upgrade from latest MIUI8 with Android 6 to newer Android 7 based

Are you joking? I always wipe system when I have to fresh install. Never a problem

Thank you for the information. I changed the rom on my MiMix and still has a lot of problem (for example notification bar is in black color in NOVA Launcher). Im not angry just disappointed. So i dont need Nougat i have to go back again to eu multi rom for MiMix _7.5.4_v8-6.0. and never refresh. I hoped the problems still fixed but not.

Nova Launcher do it me too.....IT's only on bad setting of app, off the transparent notificaton bar ;-)

On redmi pro, You can wipe system, but afther full wipe you must reboot in to recovery before flashing new rom.

When I'm using chinese stable, there is no issue on 4G setting...

Yes, just like any other mods or changes made to the system partition, need to reflash after upgrade rom.

Flashing is very easy (boot to twrp and flash) , and take less than 5 minutes (total time for flash then reboot).

I hate china ROM, xiaomi.eu is the best

But the problem is, this is my mom's phone haha...
I think she will be struggling to do those things every update...

Global EU same story, missing 4G option in Indonesia..

Now I'm a little bit lost...upgrading ROM took much longer than flashing a mod ... haha

China removed 7.9.14 due to issue in the game "King of Glory".. so dont panic, you are safe..!

I tested on eu.14 eu.15 and la global beta 15 and with nova launcher i always lag problems. ho was also factory reset. WITH the old release of august these problems do not have.
