Didn't understand your question about the rollback. After you unlock the bootloader you need to flash the recovery using the fastboot. Then you go into your new TWRP recovery and format data. You will lose all your data. While on the recovery connect your USB cable to a computer and copy the rom into your phone and flash it

Yeah i know that but is been stated that from beta 8.7.12 forward its risky to mess around with custom Roms and recovery's because of the new rollback protection on oreo 8.1.0 my question is, can i do all the things that i did on my redmi 4x & the other phones i did have??

Its been said that now you cant downgrade your version from the new 8.1.0 to 8.0 or 7.1.2 for example

New user here, I´m using latest version on a Whyred (RN5) and there seems to be a bug with the microphone. You can try to replicate it with whatsapp: try to send an audio recording from inside a chat and 90% of the times nothing is recorded, just silence. The weird thing it´s that sometimes i does work but ïm not sure how to replicate it, seems random or something. Anyone else can test this?

Now about the Anti-rollback issue READ THIS CAREFULLY:
-ONLY HAPPENS ON REDMI NOTE 5/PRO (CODENAME WHYRED)
-ONLY HAPPENS WHEN YOU FLASH A ROM WITH THE FIRMWARE UPDATE FOLDER INCLUDED IN IT (check it by opening the zip file)
This means you can flash a rom without this folder (Like 8.7.12 V2 here, not V1!!!) and you won´t have any problem.

Redme Note 5 4/64 on version 8.7.5 everything was fine.
After flashing 8.7.12 v2 everything works exept if i enter TWRP again to flash SU i cannot see data partition, nor can i mount Data partition or SD card.
What happenend ?

Use magisk 16.4 ... is much better !

You should check if you have already been upgraded to the firmware with the anti-roolback "feature" before doing anything. To do this simply enter in fastboot the command "fastboot getvar anti" without quotes. If the result is a 3 you are good, if it´s a 4 you are f***ed.
A 4 esentially means you cannot flash any rom older than the one you have. You can upgrade all yo want to a newer build tho.

You are not ****ed. Just don't rollback. These rooms are good. Been using them for years and never had to rollback. And who knows? Maybe In the future there will be a solution.

When activating and deactivating silent mode (manually or automatically) the ring sound remains off (mi4s).

You can help me flashing the eu rom to redmi s2? Only flash multirom, china rom oder global rom is ok. When i flash the eu rom come again return turn to twrp. Message come no OS installied.

There is an error since the previous version in the gallery. When you enter the "People" folder where you automatically classify the photos of people. When you enter it gives an error and goes to the screen principal
