Whyred is the codename for redmi note 5.
Twrp is also linked in first post. You could also type twrp.me and model whyred. Latest twrp should be 3.2.2.0
Disable battery optimisations in security app.
Lock the app in the recently view, so that miui doesnt close it in the background.

Ok, first one is for redmi 5 which is redmi note 5 for indian market only, code named "vince"; the second one is for redmi note 5 all markets, except for indian market where it's called redmi note 5 pro, anyway the code name is "whyred". Now: which one you own?

Should I installed a modem or firmware separately?
Hello guys, I have the version 8.8.16 installed on my MI 8 SE, I want to install this version via updater but when I click install it reboots the smartphone but doesnt install the update. Can somebody help me please?

Still a little bit weird, as it says EU team use RU localization from global ROM, yet those parts were perfectly translated there.
P.S. maybe it is possible for you to provide any links for guides on how to translate this ROM? I may be able to contribute if it's not too complex and advanced for me, as I'm not a software dev.
Is anyone else having issues with proximity sensor on Mi Mix2S? When I am done with a call I have to reset it to factory defaults and delete all the screenshots I made. (It stays on and is operated by my ear...)

You do not need to know the programming. But you need to be able to use "git (GitHub)".
Being myself on mi8 se, you can do it maually.
