Hi,

I own a China Mi8 and have unlocked the bootloader and successfully installed Global stable.

Now I'm trying to install Xiaomi.eu and experiencing a bootloop.

Below are the steps I've taken..

1) Factory Reset Global (latest version)
2) Install TWRP
3) Wipe everything except system and persist within TWRP
4) Install Xiaomi.eu Weekly within TWRP
5) Bootloop!

Have I missed something incredibly simple?

My end goal is too have a working Android Pay with minimal headaches. I've read of other members installing DM-Verity and Magisk.. As far I know this isn't something I'll need to do on Xiaomi.eu? But if so, when should I be doing these steps..?

My next goal tonight if I don't hear anything back on this thread is to flash back to China ROM with MiFlash then try flashing Xiaomi.eu weekly from TWRP.

Did u tried factory reset after flashed Xiaomi.EU weekly?
If not, pls try

It won't even boot into the ROM for factory reset.

Within TWRP when I install I set it to reboot once the zip has flashed and from there it just shows me the Mi logo and perpetually loading.

Did you wipe the data with the button (not the v check box)?

As StrafeBink has said wipe data like the picture bellow, reboot and move the rom again on the phone. Then factory reset again and flash rom.

I see some users are having trouble understanding the difference between wiping and formatting.

Wiping just deletes all the files but keeps the encyrption on. Formatting data will remove all the data including encryption. So, better back up all your files from /sdcard folder as everything will be wiped out from the phone.

Format the Data partition (Format Data - you will be asked to type "yes") and copy the files by either "adb push" or Mount/Enable MTP and copy it from your computer and continue with the installation.
