Hello,

Today I got a Mi 10 Pro (chinese model). The camera app only shows 0.6x, 1x, and 2x zoom levels in the camera app but is missing the 5x option. The 5x option does show up in Pro mode but not in the regular Photo or Video modes. I am on 12.2.3 stable Xiaomi EU ROM. Any help much appreciated.

Many thanks

Can anyone explain why this is 'invalid'? Is this not possible to fix on Xiaomi EU's side? Thanks!

It's 'invalid' because it's not a bug. You're asking for a feature request/change of the MIUI Camera app.

Try this in "Photo" mode => Select "2x" zoom then tap & hold the "2x" text in order to select "5x".

Does it work?

It does 'work' by forcing the switch to lens that way but it is clunkier than it is supposed to be. You can see on Youtube for example that the app looks different. It should show Macro, Wide, 1x, 2x, and 5x modes in the photo mode, but on Xiaomi.eu it only shows Wide, 1x, and 2x.

Above is how it is supposed to look (compare to my original post).

Then I don't know... :(

Maybe @Igor Eisberg have an answer to give? :)
As I can see it, the zoom level can be set by long-tapping the zoom level indicator. I don't see any problem with that...

I'm supposed to know what video that is, what ROM is on it and which Camera app version is on there?
I'm using Weekly on Mi 10 and I see a slightly different layout, there is no white border around the zoom level circle, so clearly a different app version.
I can quick-switch between 0.6X, 1X and 2X, while long-tapping exposes 0.6X, 1X, 2X, 5X and 10X.
If the new design is your complaint, then direct it to Xiaomi, there's nothing I can do here.

OK! I just assumed it was a bug, as obviously on the mi 10 pro it should be different to the regular mi 10. The icons should correspond to the physical hardware. The 10 pro has a physical 2x and 5x telephoto camera, whereas the mi 10 does not have any telephoto camera. But if it is not considered a priority then that's fine. It still works but with a few extra steps!

Edit: In this video you can see the layout as it is supposed to be on the mi 10 pro:

There is no indication of which ROM version that phone uses.
