Mi Pad 5 support ?

I'm planning on buying one too, they look like an amazing piece of kit for the price. Would love xiaomi.eu ROM support

I think there will be a global release on 15th of September. Maybe then the xiaomi.eu Team will begin to build an EU rom.

Why is that? We don't have any use for the Global ROM. We just don't have the time to support a device with non-standard MIUI apps, non-standard display resolution and different code base (older than MIUI for phones), and that also includes Mi MIX Fold which has more of a MIUI for tablets than phones.

I just said maybe, not that a it will come.
But now I know the facts why you won't build a rom.
It's a pity but we can't even expect that from you.

My Mi Pad 5 arrived today and the global version is really bad against the xiaomi.eu.... Please, could you do atleast a few stable builds?

yeah, they don’t like at all to be « asked » to devlop for a device. But the MIPAD 5 is not useful without xiaomi.eu. I will stay on my TabS7+ , waiting for a real custom rom.

I would advice you to stop this spamming, before people start getting banned. An answer was already given, we can't afford supporting devices with non-standard DPI and non-standard MIUI apps.

We really like what devs from xiaomi.eu are doing. We are cheering what you do, and it’s for most of us, the first reason we buy xiaomi stuff. I think it’s not a surprise if some express the wish to see this very good rom to appear on a good tab. Maybe you see a kind of « insistent request » when it’s’ just showing how much we like xiaomi.eu and hoping to get it into a tab. But when I see how aggressive are some in this forum, I think that’s just pushing a lot of new peoples not to use it, when I hope that more will come to join.
By the way , it’s the first time I heard about this « on-standard DPI and non-standard MIUI apps». I understand if it’s a big problem for xiaomi.eu devs. It’s ok. But understand that people just wanted to know if yes or not it will exist a version for mipad5, in order to know if it’s worth to buy it or not. It’s absolutely not about harassing the team.
sry for my poor english

Our statement was already posted.. no xiaomi.eu ROM for MiPads.. we do not care if you buy it or not..

I understand the developers' situation as every start of supporting a different device would be very time consuming. I think everyone really appreciate the effort and high quality of EU ROM by xiaomi.eu team, especially when there are currently no other optimized or custom ROMs available. Maybe a crowdfunding would make the project worthy of doing so.
