Whats the best way to root this? I was using magisk with miui 12.0.2, but had to update to get my fitness band to work, and now magisk is no longer working. I thought i could just boot into twrp and re-apply the magisk root patch, but thats not working either. The suggestion from the app is to drag the rom over to my phone and have the magisk app patch it, but when i tried that it said its an "unsupported/unknown image format".

I know magisk is basically dead, but to get the newest root system working, it seems the easiest way is to put magisk in, then update to zygist... But i cant even get the magisk installed.
Any help would be REALLY appreciated, since i'm dealing with a lot of apps that require root that only half-work without it.

Thanks.

Drag the ROM and patch?! NO
That's why the image format is not supported
(That is only the procedure for Samsung phones)

You have to extract boot.img from the ROM, patch that boot.img and flash the patched img by fastboot

Use the search and find instructions here on Xiaomi.eu with more details

And Magisk is not dead, new v24 was released, new modules for v24 are coming, new momentum
One just needs to catch-up with the new things like Zygisk (k, not t), DenyList, etc

Make an adb logcat and post it here.. We are not able to fix it without logs..

All the roms I mentioned are EU roms. This is not my first time using EU roms.
I must have explained myself wrongly.

I am coming from12.5.5.0 stable EU rom trying to update to 12.5.6.0 stable EU rom.
This is why it is so annoying to me because it should be just a dirty flash, right?

OR, please explain the reasoning behind flashing a global rom and flashing recovery again.

EDIT: The ROM (xiaomi.eu stable) 12.5.6.0 is the problem?... I updated Orangefox to 11.1_4 and formated data (the one where you have to type "yes") thus making the cleanest install possible. This time I skipped all the lockscreen and password dialogs. SystemUI still crashes after first reboot and if you leave it it reboots by itself to recovery. @Igor Eisberg
Try disable AOD.. Seems to be a French language translation issue..

Hi, there is definitely something broken in xiaomi.eu 12.5.8.0 for lisa...

I tried flashing previous xiaomi.eu firmwares :
- 12.5.5.0 fastboot_first_install : OK
- 12.5.5.0 fastboot_first_install + 12.5.7.0 fastboot_update : OK
- 12.5.5.0 fastboot_first_install + 12.5.7.0 fastboot_update + 12.5.8.0 fastboot_update : NOK
- 12.5.7.0 fastboot_first_install : OK
- 12.5.7.0 fastboot_first_install + 12.5.8.0 fastboot_update : NOK
- 12.5.8.0 fastboot_first_install : NOK

I noticed 2 things, if that can help to find the problem :

- first, when I long press start button, if I see the standard start menu (as with 12.5.5.0 and 12.5.7.0)...

View attachment 40969

reboot is OK but if I see the custom start menu (as with 12.5.8.0)...

View attachment 40970

then I get the reboot problem.

- second, the fastboot screen isn't the same with 12.5.5.0 (mi bunny pic) than with 12.5.7.0 or 12.5.8.0 (black screen)

Anyway, I stay with 12.5.7.0 and start to enjoy my smartphone at last! Thanks for your wonderfull job.
Same problem here with "lisa", v12.5.7.0 is OK but v12.5.8.0 and v12.5.9.0 are dead after the first reboot...
EDIT : french user here, if that matters

POCO X3 Pro here
Latest update - POCOX3PRO 12.5.9.0 - appears to restart to a black screen after the MIUI logo. Phone doesn't boot.

EDIT: File appears to have been deleted from the download folder, so probably was buggy.

Hello,

Me the same problem. May I post log from adb here? When this version will be working fine? I can't downgrade couse somebody tell me to do that and after flashing previous ver i have:

Android rescue party trigger! possible solutions either: 1. wipe caches, and/or, 2. format data, 3. clean flash your rom

The reported problem is: '--reason=fs_mgr_mount_all'.

Some solution, please. :)

Edit: log file is too big, about 10mb. Where can i add it?

It was probably from my phone. Some additional question: when can it be expected this fix and will it work after the upgrade as i did the downgrade (no data loss)?

Is it any solution to return to previous version with working phone?

Edit: Now everything is ok. Phone is normal booting. Thank you, sir!

I can confirm that lisa V12.5.8.0 has an issue that has been fixed two weeks ago, and should not be flashed. We will soon remove it completely.
As for lisa V12.5.9.0, it was built a few days ago, long after the issue was fixed, and I could not find any other issue with it, we need a log.

Thank you.
I can confirm that is working now :D

So, where can I read the changelog for Poco X3 pro, from v12.5.7.0 to 12.5.9.0 ? English version...
There is none. Every Stable released has its own changelog along with cumulative changes from us. We can't possibly track all that, unlike Weeklies.

Try set EN language and update to 12.5.9
With language set to american english, the update from 12.5.7.0 to 12.5.9.0 is OK after reboot but as soon as I set it back to french, it's dead at the next reboot...

I'll try to get the log from twrp.
EDIT : got 3 files, in attached files

I had exactly the same problem.
12.5.6.0 is totally buggy, no UI, crash, no menu. I'm French too, is it the language file the problem ?
I try dirty flash first, crash!
Clean Flash, crash !
Change for TWRP, OrangeFox, PitchBlack, same crash !
I did a clean install of 12.5.5.0, no problem.
I saw there is a new Memory managment (4Go RAM + 2 Go Swap) not present on previous ROM.
