I have updated from MIUI 13 to MIUI 14 Stable (14.0.6.0) some days ago (clean install, wiped all data from previous setup) and figured out that it is not possible to open the camera app by double clicking the volume down button anymore in case the always on display is activated.

In case I deactivate the always on display the camera app starts properly in general. Only in these short moments when the fingerprint symbol is displayed on the screen, the double click possibility is also not functional.

Of course the setting "Open camera by pressing twice the volume button when the scrren is locked" in the "AOD/Lockscreen"-menu is activated.

My search in this forum regarding exisiting similar issue was not successful hence I wanted to report this behavior. With MIUI 13 it has worked as expected under any conditions.

It would be great if Dev-Team could have a look on it and fix it with the next stable release.

Thank you in advance,

Thank you for your valuable information! Based on that I checked again and found the root cause for this behavior. It seems that a wallpaper, which was set for the background (but NOT for the lock screen) caused this behavior.
