You need the 15.01 app update. Then reboot.

Buy a new phone. There's no use if you don't have OLED since it would cost way too many battery.

Nubia is locked down too, their new device looks really good and affordable but their software support has been poor and you can't unlock the bootloader at all.

Apart from a niche tech enthousiasts that buy phones that can be unlocked to install the rom of their choosing, they don't gain anything of it. Usage/tracking/advertisement data is no longer available on a custom rom. Users might claim warranty even though they broke their phone themselves...

You're lucky it did not broke before then, xiaomi.eu does optimizations to system apps so you're not supposed to update them to their default version.

The 20.12 app fingerprint is still going strong for now. Google on vacation mode or the PIF magisk module not supplying a FP by default is helping in keeping it alive.

PIF no longer comes with a fingerprint by default, you have to add it yourself. Better to use the Xiaomi inject App that does it for you.

Latest one, just like every other apk install it with package installer then reboot.

System apps are updated through system updates. Not an issue.

It's for all unlocked/rooted phones so you'd have to give that up entirely and stick to a locked stock rom.
