1.10.8 , no gmail no market (Defy and I9000)

Hi all,
i am not sure if this is due to chinese goverment filters or the rom is a bit buggy.
since i updated in two different devices, the access to the android market is says no conection and gmail application stopped receiving email, I cannot send either.

gmail using the web browser is working fine though....

anyone else has the same issue?

No problem with market on my Defy. Don't use gmail.
