16gb Internal Memory But Only 8gb Usable!

Hey! I'm using the newest AOSPA 6.0.3 Rom but the show me that i can only use 8Gb (nothing installed, full wipe)..
I had it try also with MIUI or CM13.1 and show on TWRP but still the same. Normally they are about 11Gb or?
What can i do?

I had a similar issue, maybe because flashing custom ROMs leave a lot of redundant files.

Here's what I did.

1. Made sure that I had access to my phone in TWRP.
   
2. Took backup of all necessary files.
   
3. Wiped the phone (incl. Data/storage)
   
4. Placed custom ROM on storage
5. Flashed it
6. Jackpot

I now have plenty of space left.
