Unfortunately recents doesn't seem to be working on Mi 8 Pro. I was just posting this on bugs.
Just get an empty screen

Just dirty installed on my Mi9T Pro, everything seems good at the moment, no crashes, the only thing that I did because I was using the "Redmi K20 Pro to Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro conversion patch" to download the new one that is compatible with MIUI 12 and after installation of the MIUI 12 to install again the conversion patch

Sorry if this question is explicited many times (I hope no) but I tried to update from last 11 build to new 12 build and after reboot system, device turns on twrp.
How I can solve that?

wipe dalvik, cache, system
flash miui 12
reboot system

For gesture control and recent apps try related issues it is the solution, just simply reboot the phone.
It is only after first installation of MIUI 12 and then it will be fine...

Dirty flash on Mi9T Pro. Freeze on miui logo... Hard reboot solved it. Then no recent app so reboot again and now everything sound well . Thank you very much for the wonderful work you made!

using miMax 3..control centre not responsive need to tap few time to trigger.after turn off control centre everything is fine..

I also did a dirty flash on my K30 5G, everything works like a charm! But i noticed one thing, the quick tiles just appear over the right side of the screen, that kinda annoying because the camera is there. Is it possible to put that on the middle or the left screen? Didnt find any setting..

How to disable side swipe to open Google? Thanks

No simple option for it but there are two alternatives:

1. Disable full screen gesture control that disables edge swipe up for Google assistant

2. Settings > Apps > Manage apps > Default apps > Assist and voice input > Assist app > set to none
