Really like the ROM, however there is a MASSIVE battery drain issue from android.system.suspend@1.0-service on my Mi Mix 3, anyone else has this problem?
I guess you're using the dark mode? If so, can you switch to normal mode and watch the battery drain? Maybe dark mode is the problem

Thanks for the advice! I was using dark mode indeed, I have switched it off and will report if this changes anything!

Would be quite strange to have a dark mode consume more battery on a device with an oled screed, but maybe this works!

On my Mi 8 turning off dark mode has no impact on battery life. Android system almost constantly leeches 30-40% of power regardless of using dark or regular mode. Any other ideas what could cause this? Most importantly I'd like to know if other models also suffer from this issue. Looks like the Mi 8 is the only model atm...

RN7 - Thank`s devs. Very , very good release. I like MIUI 12 Eu rom. I have Kali Nethunter and Andrax on my phone and everything work Great. WoW
Kind Regards :)

Is it normal that ALL apps are starting automatically or is this is problem of my Google backup? Still looking for the reason of the battery drain... If I go to the Autostart settings of the cleaner app, all apps are set to Autostart... Disabled them all now

I seem to have the same problem on my Mi Mix 3, have just tried switching off dark mode, I'll check if this makes a difference.

Last weekly didn't seem to have this problem...?

If i tweaked the kernel using a manager (like Franco kernel manager), its necesary to undo the changes before i dirty flash Next versión?

Found another bug for Poco F2 Pro (lmi)... All is working well, gestures are okay... But when you install a game, specifically Dragon Nest Mobile (DNM), full-screen gestures becomes laggy... There is a huge delay in response... But when you uninstall the game, the full-screen gestures becomes responsive again without system lag...

Dunno if this is an isolated case, or if there are other games that also gives the same case... Hope you can share your insights on this...

Looks like I found a fix for the battery drain issue for me. As I wrote earlier, I looked into all kinds of suspects in the system settings. In the Cleaner App inside the Settings is an option to manage Autostart Apps. Unfortunately ALL apps have been set to Autostart. I disabled all of them ( don't forget to toggle the System Apps option in the upper right dot menue) and restarted the phone. All metrics are more or less as usual. Android System is at a nice 11.5% and the kernel at 6.8% I remember I had this problem on other releases as well but it never caused so much drain. Even though the autostarted apps aren't showing up in the task switcher, the mere fact of toggling the Autostart option seems to impact the battery usage.

Again: This fixed it for me for now and I don't know if it does for others but it might be worth taking a look into this and giving it a try.

Edit: After extensive testing and monitoring I can say there are no negative impacts for me and I have excellent battery performance now.

25% battery during the last 10 hours. 5,33h SOT and 24h battery life in general. 100% when going to bed. Usage during night 4%.

Hi Bro.
You've disabled even 'App Vault' and 'System service plugin' ??

Yes... Apps that are tight closely to system processes override the toggle anyways. They start when required. Just disable everything. It doesn't have any impact on the system functionality. My system runs flawlessly and smooth. No issues!

Just learned, that the Autostart feature also enables apps to send push notifications after a fresh start unless you started the app manually. So if you experience missing push notifications selectively enable autostart for the required apps. Good read on this topic and some other hints on how to work more effectively with Autostart and work around the missing notification issue.-> https://www.androidcentral.com/how-fix-miui-push-notifications

Ideally MIUI would come with a more efficient memory management to enable push notifications by every app without impacting battery life this much...

Hi everyone,

I have a big issue with this rom. After install this my phone (Mi 8) dont have access to wifi or to the sim card. Is like that I dont have any sim card.
I've done first a dirty install and after a clean install but the problem continued. The solution was rollback to the 20.6.18 version and all works fine!

Reading the article I don't see anything that would help with the battery drain, only tips on how to fix missing notifications but I have not experienced that on my phone so far, not even on MIUI 11. It looks to me that the service causing troubles is not even MIUI's fault, I read it was something introduced by Google ironically to help battery drain that seems to be causing this, but I could be totally wrong here.
I do feel this latest weekly a bit more battery hungry but not that bad.
Slds,

Slds,
If you follow my advice on selectively enabling autostart for relevant apps you'll feel a BIG difference... The aggresive memory management referenced in this article implies unnecessary memory and battery consumption. I was relating to this. If you're fine, your lucky. Battery life decreases from release to release. This is natural since the system gets more complex and is tailored for more efficient and modern SODs and hardware in general. I'm pretty happy that I made this find since I'm happy again with my MI 8 battery life since a long time. Surprisingly my mi note 10 didn't face this issues even though it's also possible it simply wasn't as obvious since it has a ton of mAhs
