Thank you for your post. Can we know the workarounds?Mi 11 here
I'm hopeing Xiaomi team ( official ) are focusing on MIUI 13 .....because the last 2 weekly updates doesn't bring nothing new :
Pros :
- better screen time , but stand-by time preaty bad ( around 5% / hour)
- better bluetooth connection
Both are subject to placebo , so...
Cons :
- system Dark Mode doesn't work in 3rd party apps ( worked well on 21.11.3)
- file acces doesn't work for telegram ( ok in 21.11.3)
- vpn still doesn't work ( i remember it was ok on 21.11.3 , but i'm not so sure )
- theme app with errors ( there is a workaround )
- mails document acces ( there is a workaround )
- system contacts app doesn't acces contacts in outlook , exchange servers , so I have to use other contacts app ( True Phone , Google Dialer ,...)
Long story short : it's a beta ,witch can be used daily !
Let's hope will have , shortly , A12 under MIUI 13

UPDATE: can't install external apk with this rom.... installer auto close in 1 second, great ...

hi, short question.
i am trying to update to 21-11-17 via fastboot on my laptop running Pop OS (an Ubuntu version).
Android Studio is installed and i used the command "./linux_fastboot_update_rom.sh" in Terminal.
but nothing happens? Does Android Studio need to run in background or did i something wrong?
Edit: Thats where i am and what i did:
fun@pop-os:~/Downloads/Xiaomi/xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Pro_MI11Ultra_21.11.17_v12-12-fastboot
$ ./linux_fastboot_update_rom.sh

u need google package installer for a12
i have it installed an no problems wiht installing them
- theme : i downloaded .mtz file of a certain theme i like , use theme swap app to open it and , after that , import in system theme app ; worked for me
- documents : now i use wps office and works , but first i downloaded the document in device storage and opened from there with the specific app i want , after that works directly from mail ; it seams to be a problem with default app selection, I notice that system has problem letting you to chose witch app to use if you want to share a document , also.

I agree for all but not for stand by draining... mine is ~0.69 even on 21.11.17, it seems you must more debloat / remove auto-start on your apps

Are you sure to open terminal in your Linux platform tools folder?
This problem UI / System apps crash appear when you have only dirty flash A11 > A12 or restore data A11 > A12
Have you make a clean flash ?
solved using apk mirror installer from playstore.... only mi installer is not working

so i need to go to platform tools folder and copy the rom package into it?
i am a little confused because the rom package folder includes the platform tools..
sorry i am a linux noob.
Installed on Mix 4. First I tried to just update the ROM. Still have a problem with the themes app. Can't download anything. Neither themes, wallpapers not fonts. Always get error can't download:30004. I tried to do a clean install. Still the same error. I have this issue since last week's build. Any way to fix this ?

connect phone via USB
run command adb reboot bootloader
cd to unpacked ROM folder
run in terminal ./linux_fastboot_update_rom.sh

Edit: i had to install adb first, which i did.
Then i followed your guide. "adb reboot bootloader" worked but the script command didn't.
After executing it nothing happens.

It's still amazing that the Xiaomi Mi9 still has the May 5, 2021 Android security update
