Thx install worked, let's see if battery draining again

Seems like the battery drain continues even after updating Google Play Services...

However, it seems that if I disable Google Precise Location (not sure if this is the right name in English, but you can find it under "Location") the issue seems to be gone! I've spent the whole day with that option disabled and no signs of Google Play Services in battery stats.

Hey mate love your work!
just wanna say that i have Volte and VoWifi both enabled in settings after entering the codes in dialler and neither of them work for me (cas mi 10 ultra) when i make a phone call it switches from 4g to 3g and back when i'm done, its not carrier related as i tested in another handset and on the china rom for my phone and they both work there, am i doing something wrong??

go to settings, for me its sim card and mobile networks, i click on the sim then you will see the options

I have a very weird issue; I'm on 12.5, 21.3.10 (weekly) and every time my phone creates a backup, it gets rid of app preferences (e.g. unsets Google messages as default messenger). This means I lose my notifications and have to reset it every time. It also gets rid of any widgets and home screen shortcuts.

It sounds like you are referring to Xiaomi's own backup process. I have not used this for a long time.

The backup process that I use, which remembers all apps, their icon and widget location, and all of the relevant app data is the one within TWRP. This, as far as I am concerned, backs up the complete system, and the restore puts you back to exactly where you were, including security and Magisk. With recent restores, my banking apps continue to work with their finger-print logins and Magisk still in place.

I make these TWRP backups every week before installing the new ROMs, and if I am testing out any risky software. I also use Titanium backup - twice weekly (automated) for nominated apps. I also use MyPhoneExplorer to (manually) synchronise contacts, calendar, SMS, etc to my PC. This also backs up all my designated files to the PC, including the TWRP and Titanium backups.

So I am well and truly covered!

Hey guys, comming from a redmi note 7 to redmi note 8, recently installed last beta version with orangefox, but the general experience is pretty laggy :S, apps takes more to open than with my old note 7, any suggestions?

Because the MIUI 12.5 Weekly Roms are still kind of unusable to the RN8 (sorry, I know it's not the EU dev's fault!!) I decided to change to the last stable EU and apart from some little bugs I'm glad with the decision.

You have to active it again in fingerprint settings

Thanks, did that multiple times, still nothing. It works after restart for minute or two, then it stops again.

So it's probably specific of your model. Wait for the next update, tomorrow, this will be probably resolved.

On MI9T Pro, with this version I have battery drain, rom in global is sluggish and laggy and some apps close immediately after opening, I have to try several times until it opens.
I want to roll back to 21.2.24 because it was working fine but after I flash it, it always boot to TRWP, also tried to flash other versions but it always boot to TRWP. I have latest TRWP version. Any way to fix this? Thanks.

If you have not already done so, try clearing Dalvik and cache, and delete the /data/system/package_cache folder.

With the glowing report in the UK's Guardian today of the Mi 11, and especially with the extra bonus of the weekly Miui 12.5 ROM must surely put the Mi 11 + Miui 12.5 as probably one of the best phones around. Certainly at the price.
We really need to appreciate the extra edge that these .eu ROMs give us - with all of the additional facilities that Miui 12.5 (as detailed in post #1) has.
