Redmi note 7 - Dirty flash. The rom is fluid and responsive. Perhaps the best of recent times for user experience. Thank Devs.

I had same problem week ago. A message appeared that the device is rooted and that I should install a clean version, otherwise the app will not work. Tried several things without success. Finally I uninstalled Magisk, reflashed rom without Magisk, started bank app. Everything ok. App worked. Then I reflashed Magisk and hided Magisk and app still worked. Today after rom update (with Magisk) still works.
I don't know if this will work for you, but give it a try.
Mi 9 lite- pyxis with Magisk 22
Tried that - Magisk not installed - checked that root not installed - app still believes that the phone is rooted and so will not run even unrooted. Other banking apps still OK. So there appears to be some new incompatibility somewhere.

Edit: So that is now two apps that believe that my phone is rooted when it is not - My BT, and Lloyds banking app.

Have you tried deleting their data and uninstall them? (Probably better not do it with bt.)

I tried before only with Magisk uninstall. Nope.
Then I reflashed rom (with uninstalled Magisk) and then app didn`t see root anymore.
I have Addiko bank and problem appears after Addiko apk update

Yes, [after updating ROM] root is lost. To get it back, you just flash magisk again in twrp, after you boot at least once in the new rom.
With Redmi Note 7, lavender I always download the new ROM's ZIP, boot into recovery (OrangeFox rather than TWRP), and install the new ROM followed by Magisk in one operation. I can't guarantee this will work with other phones and recoveries, but I think it should. HTH

Yes - at different times I've uninstalled them both, rebooted, re-installed, rebooted, and they both still believe that the system is rooted, when it is not.
I can live with this - it's just a longer login process each time, instead of fingerprint ID.

No network connection after flash. I tried a couple of flash, wipes and write apn again with no success.

Recognices sim but does not ask por pin code.

You may have to rename/delete "TWRP" folder in root of the phone's storage and also rename file/folder's name with "Magisk" word in them. ;)

Haha, well, I'm following the process I was told. :emoji_laughing: But yeah, it may work in just one operation.

Why I can't see the update and download it for mi 10 ultra!

In Mi 10T Lite 5G I don't have access to Spotify/Tidal from the notifications bar. Any idea how to address it? Apart from that - spot on!

I don't know if this is due to my system rather than the xiaomi.eu ecosystem, but the last 3 times I downloaded an update (about every 2 weeks, I don't install all) the download procedure has gone as usual, then "100%" is displayed, but downloading continues at about the sane rate (~1.6MB/sec over WiFi 802.11ac) for a minute or so, then the rate drops to 0.4kB/s or lower - what I'd expect if the process has finished, and I get a message on the screen saying that the download failed, do I want to try again? The second download starts from 0 and progresses at the same rate (i.e., the partial download isn't resumed) but without displaying percentage, and always works.

Another irritation is that the phone beeps every few seconds while downloading. This is a real problem for me personally, as I usually forget to switch sound back on again after downloading in silent mode and hoping nobody rings. I don't know if it's a "feature"; this started happening maybe a couple of months ago, and always happens.

This may just be due to something on my phone, but if it might be a general problem. Redmi Note 7

Best wishes

Hello,

The download percentage doesn't exactly match the ROM size in the Xiaomi.eu Updater app (e.g.: When you see "99%", it's ~90% in real).

The Xiaomi.eu Updater app is only using SourceForge's mirrors for downloading ROM updates. The download sometimes failing because of a bad mirror... Only thing you can do is to try later/again or manually download the ROM. :)

Disable sound of the Updater notifications: Tap & hold on a Updater notification => "More" => Disable the "Allow sound" option. ;)

Thanks for response. I knew that and it's not a problem, just pointing it out.

Yes, that's a fairly normal thing, but it's noteworthy that it has always failed recently but not before, and always succeeds the second time. Maybe in future I'll download with a computer browser that supports "resume". But there won't be much "future" - lavender!

Thanks, that's really useful, I should have thought of trying that sort of thing! Can also change in "App info".

Best wishes

Mi 10T Pro. Dirty install over 21.3.11. No problems found so far. Perfect release, tnx devs.

Magisk does not seem to be working fully. One banking app acknowledges the rooting / jailbreaking, so cannot use it. Others seem to be working OK.

not sure which app you're using, but with one I use it can detect the app called magisk installed on your phone so I just go into settings and hide the magisk app renaming it Mageesk with the in-app "hide magisk app" setting and I can use all of my banking apps normally, you should take into account that if you install any new root-needing software it WILL NOT ask for root permission as it WONT detect Magisk installed on the phone, so it's a good idea to do this process after you set everything up.
