Thanks for the suggestion. I do have Tasker, but have never got round to learning / using it. I do use Zooper, which I know integrates with it.

I have now got into the habit of uninstalling Magisk each time I reboot, which is relatively simple, and doesn't happen very often. Very occasionally I forget to uninstall it and I have to re-register my banking app.
Hi Iain... try this solution ...

I see what you mean now - the 'Silent' button. (Just disabled the power menu).
I have a mute button in my Control Centre, if I need it. But if I need to control my volumes, I have a widget configured to different volume levels (6 types of volume). I have 6 different settings that are easy to switch to. It's Volume Ace. I can also schedule different volumes (or silence), eg. when I go to Buckingham Palace! :emoji_laughing:
Meanwhile I just have dnd and silent mode ~always on by pressing the buttons under the volume popup and just adjust the sound. (Wait, should I be able to do that while those are on?)

PS. Yay, 801 messages!

PPS. Yay, happy 5.000 messages @Poney70! :emoji_tada:

Mute button from the power menu? The menu that I get up from a medium press on the power button is @geoorg's power menu (Magisk).
Man!, i still love that power menu. Although I'm using a slightly different one now.

Hello,
Android Auto is crashing after the update, I have Mi 10 Ultra.

It was working before the update. You can relate to these exact steps;

"Hi, I have a xioami mi 10 ultra and AA was working perfectly before yesterday. I updated the phone to MIUI 12.1.1 that upgraded android to android 11 and since then AA doesn't work anymore. AA does work on my friends cellphone with the same cable but it's android 10. When I connect my cable my screen just freeze and after a close and open the screen (not a. Reboot) my cellphone works normally again but without AA. Using it on a hyundai elantra 2020 Any fix? Thanks"

Hello,

Android Auto keeps crashing and after this Phone reboots every time. Mi 10T lite
The cause of the Android Auto error can be so diverse, maybe a logcat analysis will help you

How to create a logcat file

https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/guide-logging-with-adb-logcat.18455/#post-625131

# connect phone with PC and USB
# set USB debug - on
# create a textfile -> eg logfile.txt in adb folder on PC
# adb logcat > logfile.txt
# make actions on phone and wait for issue
# ctrl+c (to stop logfile recording)
# analyze the logfile
# send the last eg 5 seconds, the relevant entries

That doesn't make any sense, since it is Android Auto I need to connect via cable to the car as the wireless connection doesn't work. How do I connect to the 2 different devices at the same time?

ok... I had to connect only the first time with USB and now its working with wireless (MIC AV8V7).

But not a problem, you can install "WIFI ADB" on your phone - you have to root your phone (magisk)

# Start "WIFI ADB"
# connect PC with Wifi over WIFI ADB (take a look under network - insert IP and Port) to your device
# connect your phone to the radio with USB

Known, this is a China ROM issue that started a few Closed Beta releases back. Nothing to be done about it, this is a low-level issue.
I see, didnt encounter this problem before this update, thanks for the info though. Hope they fix it asap, really frustrating to deal with...it happened again today hahaha

Wow, just watched the comment section of the Google Alarm app. Didn't know this problem is here since a moment now. The problem appeared right after the Miui update so I thought the problem comes from this update...

Thanks !!

Hi. I have mi 10. Since this update i have problems with Android Auto. When i plug in my Mi 10 to my car headunit to launch AA, the mi 10 freeze and reboot. Before the update AA was working fine

Funnily enough, my MI 10 (umi) failed safetynet, as all of you, but GPay still works

(I'm not rooted/using Magisk at all).

BTW : not related but thx Igor and the team for the job you done the (many) past weeks about vowifi/volte which are working extremely well since months! (and wasn't working before)
