i mean if i have a chinese motorola razr and updated it to chinese jelly bean(whicih is different from eu jelly bean kernel) can i still use miui v5?

I would like to know this as well. I am trying to follow the instructions from http://en.miui.com/thread-4409-1-1.html but cannot see any of the settings that are listed in the images on that page.

Hi guys,

I am a new to miui. Just got a MI-2A with these:
Kernal version: 3.4.0-g52db9c3-01029-gb4692d4
Build number: taurus-userdebug 4.1.1 JRO03L QBF31 test-keys

There is no select update package option in the updater.
So I tried to download the taurus 3.8.29 and saved and rename it to update.zip in the sdcard folder. Then flash it using the recovery mode. Updated successfully, but when rebooting, I can see the white MI logo turn into the the orange MI logo, and then it just stuck there.

I can only boot to system 2 now, any ideas how to solve this? Thanks so much!!!
