I own a Redmi Note 2 Prime and I was wondering why isn't this update available by OTA?

If there is no OTA planned, can I at least download the file, and place it in the "downloaded_rom" folder in the devices memory and then just run the Updater App and choose the file to update from there?

I'm still using MIUI 7 by xiaomi.eu 5.10.8 | Beta

Don't forget that, basically, stable ROMs are just older weeklys...

So of course they can also have bugs, just not serious ones.

That error is from playstore not from ROM...
Go to setting>instaled APP> playstore and Clean cache and data and do the same on google play service.

Rom is a stable distro than the developer.
rom stable has far fewer bugs of ROM developer.
these are the first stable miui 7.

Rom are not perfect. in no terminal.

From what I was told, they make stable ROMs based on weekly dev ROMs.
Of course, they don't use the releases that had lots of bugs, or serious bugs... And they eventually remove some feature that may cause bugs in some devices.

I use dev, and have tried stables before, and always had little bugs in any of them.
I'm lucky to never have had serious bugs on any dev, either (but I skip many releases, only update once a month).

Haha, I'm wondering if they have taken my solution to fix this. Few weeks after I did this they finally fixed in MIUI.
Good to know that my change motivated them to make it happen.
